雖然我對你的缺乏忠誠的表現很不以為然，但你現在受到的侮辱已遠遠超過了你所應得的；大概英國人正把他們最不文明的一面表現出來了，近來我常懷疑「足球在英國屬於流氓，高等社會都玩網球和馬球」此一類老生常談並非虛妄。

無論如何，你只是個廿一歲的青年，這一切對於你太沉重。但也不要忘記，碧咸被英國國民「問吊」之時，也只比你現在大兩歲；而在其後的九個月內，他以成熟的高水準而穩定的表現，協助曼聯成為三冠王。憂患不僅是考驗，同時也能培養和激發你所未有或不足夠的。

I know that all the irrational insults and booings are not easy to take, but I hope you can take it bravely and do not let your head down!

I have always been appreciating your abilities and passion a lot, and I believe that if you listen to your heart, and to be confident, you will be able to come through this difficult period. And after that you will find that you have gained and developed a lot from this period.
